“I inquired about a 1-day bike tour with Boso Adventure after seeing it on the Visit Chiba website. Setogawa-san was very responsive to my inquiries, and I was happy to book a tour for 5 people in July. We chose to ride with cross bikes for a 50km route but also had the option to use e-bikes. He ensured the route for our bike tour was appropriate for all members of the group (of various skill levels) and assured us that adjustments could be made if required on the fly. Contingency measures were also in place in case someone got tired or injured, but I felt safe the entire time and the pacing and distance were just right for us. The tour took us through farmland with beautiful scenery, a wooden pier at the beach, a local art gallery and shrine and a couple of road stations. At each stop, Setogawa-san would introduce the history of the area to us and answer any questions we had. We also had lunch at a very popular seafood restaurant we would have been intimidated to try by ourselves! We ended the tour feeling so accomplished and fulfilled.  Setogawa-san was very accommodating with our limited Japanese language skills and communication in English is no problem! I would not hesitate to book another bike tour with Boso Adventure. There’s still so much to see and experience in Minamiboso, and it’s so fun to explore on a bike with a knowledgeable guide. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys riding bikes and is looking for a fun, outdoor activity in Chiba.

I also enjoyed exploring the scenic back roads, hidden spots, and unique eateries that Kenji took us to. This was a truly memorable experience!

Boso Adventure Tours provided me with an unforgettable cycling experience. The tour guide, Setogawa-san, was incredibly kind and patient. The itinerary was well-curated, allowing us to explore stunning landscapes from farmland to sea. The cycling route was enjoyable and can be catered to various fitness levels. The equipment provided was reliable and well-maintained. Setogawa-san is a very experienced cyclist and was very patient with us as beginners. Overall, Boso Adventure Tours exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them for a memorable cycling adventure.

I developed a new interest in cycling after our guided tour with Boso Adventures! I initially felt some trepidation at our estimated mileage as I was the least experienced cyclist in our group, but I felt fully supported and safe under Kenji’s guidance. Our private tour was flexibly catered to our group’s interests and abilities, and with Kenji plotting our course, we enjoyed the lush sights of Minamiboso worry-free. I never thought there’d be such a big difference between touring Japan from a bike seat rather than a car seat, but no drive was ever this fun! Such a rewarding and unique experience – highly recommended!
